Welcome to Veterans Scotland
Veterans Scotland is an association of 53 organisations connected either wholly or partially by the common aim of working with the Veterans Community in Scotland. The definition of who comprises the Veterans Community in Scotland can be found in this document.
What do we do and how do we do it?
We undertake the following roles:
- To enhance wherever possible the welfare and well-being of the veterans’ community in Scotland.
- To work closely with member organisations to achieve maximum benefit for the veterans’ community by bringing to bear, as appropriate, the collective and unified views of all those who work on behalf of Scottish veterans.
- To encourage and facilitate cooperation and coordination between Veteran Scotland member charities in Scotland.
- To engage, where appropriate, with the UK and Scottish Governments on matters relating to veterans’ affairs.
- To act as a point of contact for government and other agencies for all matters relating to veterans’ policy.
- To disseminate in a timely and efficacious manner key information to Veteran Scotland members and externally as appropriate.
- To undertake from time to time such other roles and responsibilities as may be determined by the VSEC or AGM.
